Authorities: Truck flips, crashes into pole on Flanders Road
A portion of Flanders Road was closed for several hours Monday after a truck hit a utility pole and flipped, authorities at the scene said.
The accident occurred between Old Quogue Road and Ludlam Avenue shortly after 2:10 p.m. when the D’Artagnan Foods truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed, officials said.
An SUV then slammed into truck and no one was injured in the crash, officials said. The road remained closed until about 9 p.m.
