Police release images of Wading River Subway robber

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect who robbed Subway in Wading River at knifepoint twice this month.
A man entered the Route 25A store July 11 shortly before 9 p.m., displayed a knife and demanded cash, according to a Suffolk County Crime Stoppers press release. He then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
Another robbery with a suspect matching a similar description occurred around the same time July 6, officials said.
Police described the suspect as an approximately 6-foot-tall white male wearing a hooded jack, sunglasses and gloves.
A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS
