Cops: Sound Beach woman made fraudulent returns at Lowe’s

A Sound Beach woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with making fraudulent returns for cash at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Riverhead, according to a press release.

Denise Reany, 53, reportedly made four fraudulent returns totaling just under $250 between May 16 and June 22, Riverhead Town police said.

She was charged with petit larceny and released on bail, officials said.
