Cops: Riverhead man caught brandishing handguns

Able Tsang

A Riverhead man was charged with brandishing two handguns Sunday night near a home on Northville Turnpike, according to a press release.

Able Tsang, 57, was arrested shortly after 7:45 p.m. and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, Riverhead Town police said.

New York State police and the Suffolk County Police Department Emergency Services Unit also responded to the scene, officials said.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.

In September, Mr. Tsang was accused of breaking into his renters’ apartment on Middle Road and scratching the man with a 30-inch-long piece of metal. Though Mr. Tsang allegedly struck his renter with the piece of metal, no injuries were reported and the renter said he didn’t need medical help, police said.
