Leslie C. Littlefield of Shelter Island passed away at his home on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at the age of 72.

Born March 14, 1944, to Virginia and Loren Littlefield, “Bizzy” was a talented carpenter, mechanic and craftsman who was a lifelong resident of the Island. He was an avid car enthusiast who loved to build models, fly planes and play with his grandchildren.

Les will be remembered for his kind heart and huge smile. He was loved by many, most especially his adoring family. He was a loving husband, caring father, playful “Pop-Pop” and selfless friend.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Teresa Littlefield; daughter, Lisa (Littlefield) Nishiyama; son-in-law, Robert Nishiyama; granddaughters Mia and Lila; a soon to be born grandson; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Donations are welcome to the Shelter Island Ambulance Foundation.

Cremation was private. The Shelter Island Funeral Home assisted the family.
