Police: Five arrested at DWI checkpoints in Riverhead Town

Five people were arrested on misdemeanor charges Friday night at East End DWI Task Force checkpoints set up in Riverhead Town. 

Riverhead, New York State, Suffolk County and Shelter Island police participated in the patrols.

The following were arrested:

• Daryl Kettrick, 47, of Aquebogue was found operating a vehicle while intoxicated as he entered a sobriety check point. He was transported to Riverhead police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment on a DWI charge.

• Margaret Harrigan, 25, of Cutchogue was found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when she entered a sobriety check point. She was charged with DUI and released on an appearance

• Henry Mills III, 25, of Riverside found operating a vehicle while intoxicated when he entered a sobriety check point. He was transported to the New York State Police Riverside Barracks and held for arraignment on a DWI charge.

• Carlos Ajcuc-Canel, 23, of Riverhead was found operating a vehicle while intoxicated when he entered a sobriety check point. He was transported to Riverhead police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment on a DWI charge.

• Kamal Scott, 25, of Mastic Beach was found operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs when he entered a sobriety check point. He was transported to Riverhead police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment on charges of DWI-Drugs and possession of marijuana.
