Icy road leads to early morning accident on Sound Avenue

Icy road conditions early this morning led to a car sliding off the road on Sound Avenue east of Herricks Lane, according to the Jamesport Fire Department.

The car ran into a snow bank at about 5:35 a.m. in Northville and a second vehicle that was also involved left the scene by the time the fire department arrived.

The driver of the car that hit the snow bank was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to a press release.

Blowing snow this morning could create hazardous conditions on roads and drivers are urged to use caution.
