Police offer reward for man who used stolen credit card in Riverhead

Local police are asking for the public’s help to identify and find an man who used a stolen credit card at a Riverhead store last year, according to a police press release.

The credit card was stolen from a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the parking lot at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays on November 19, Southampton and Suffolk County police said. The card was used later that day by a man at the Riverhead Target on Route 58, according to the press release.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers have offered a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Police have asked anyone with information about the crime to report a tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
