Riverside man caught with heroin after police search home

A Riverside man was arrested early Friday morning on multiple drug charges after members of the East End Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his Flanders Road home, according to Southampton Town police.

Anthony Blanco, 48, was found to be in possession of heroin, money and drug paraphernalia, police said. He faces a felony charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanors — seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, police said.

Southampton police and the Suffolk County Sheriffs Office K-9 unit assisted in the search warrant, which took place at about 6 a.m. at 346-48 Flanders Road, police said. The search warrant was in response to community complaints and the result of ongoing narcotics investigations by the East End Drug Task Force in the Riverside area.
