Jerzy Gajek

Jerzy Gajek, 80, of Riverhead died April 11 at his home. 

The son of Olga (Barnicz) and Joseph Gajek, he was born Oct. 3, 1936, in Lvov, Poland.

Mr. Gajek received a master’s degree and was a concert pianist and professor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna (née Wojtal).

Cremation was private.
