Susan E. DeVeau

Longtime Riverhead resident Susan E. DeVeau died April 5. She was 62.

The daughter of Irene (Gleason) and Robert Figari, she was born Oct. 9, 1954, in Queens.

On May 18, 1974, she married James DeVeau in Little Neck.

Ms. DeVeau worked as an office manager in Port Jefferson. Family members said she enjoyed cooking and bird watching and loved local beaches.

Ms. DeVeau is survived by her husband; her daughter-in-law, Michelle; her mother-in-law, Mary; grandchildren Tommy and Gabriella; and son Gregory.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
