Ryszard Duba

Ryszard Duba of Riverhead died on July 3. He was 64.

The son of Teresa (Samaszko) and Eugeniusz Duba, he was born March 24, 1953, in Grajewo, Poland. He received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture in Poland.

Mr. Duba previously worked for Kaps-All Packaging System as a mechanical assembler. He had been disabled since 2008 following a stroke.

Family members said he loved nature, gardening, flowers, birds, fishing and pets, especially his dogs.

He is survived by his former wives, Jadwiga Duba and Marzena Maciorowska; children Grzegorz Duba, Andrzej Duba, of Chicago, and Petrick Duba of Hampton Bays; his sister, Bogumita Tarka of Poland and five grandchildren.

The family received visitors July 7 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial was held July 8 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
