Merrie Julia

Merrie (Marchand) Julia  of Baiting Hollow died July 29, 2017, at her home. She was 74.

The daughter of Mary (Woessner) and Frank Marchand, she was born June 8, 1943. She attended high school and worked as an accounts receivable manager.

She was the devoted wife of Alfred; the loving mother of Christine (Mathew) Borcina and Susan (Todd) Wowak and is also survied by her son, Steven. She was the cherished grandmother of Jesse Borcina, Kelsey Borcina and Skylar Wowak; the dear sister of Laurel Lombardi.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Saint John The Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Burial will follow Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton.

The family requests memorial donations be made to East End Hospice 481 Westhampton‑Riverhead Road, PO Box 1048 Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.
