James A. Warner Jr.

James A. Warner Jr. of Riverhead died July 31 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 75. 

The son of James and Ida (Kirby) Warner, he was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Southampton and attended Westhampton Beach High School.

For 42 years, Mr. Warner was a postal worker at the Riverhead Post Office.

Family members said he enjoyed bowling, fishing and golfing and loved the Yankees.

Mr. Warner is survived by his children, James III (Ayne) of Riverhead and Kelly Hristedes (Tony) of Shirley; sister, Rose Hepworth of Westhampton; brother, Charles, of East Quogue and grandchildren, Rylee, Delanie, Anthony and Nicholas.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, Aug. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Cremation was private.
