Southampton Blotter: Woman charged crack cocaine possession

Deena Colgan, 46, was arrested on multiple drug charges last Tuesday after someone reported seeing a woman sleeping behind the wheel while parked at the Valero gas station on Peconic Avenue in Riverside for several hours, according to Southampton Town police.

Ms. Colgan was found asleep while her vehicle was parked and running, police said.

Police woke her up and as she exited her vehicle, authorities spotted crack cocaine and a glass crack pipe on her seat, according to officials. She was also found to be carrying Adderall without a prescription, police said. A search revealed additional quantities of crack cocaine, Adderall and Percocet, police said.

She was charged with five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and two public health law violations, according to police.

• Megan Wiley, 23, of Hampton Bays was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation Saturday after she was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation, police said. Police found she was driving with a revoked license and suspended registration, police said.

• Matthew Conner, 20, of East Quogue was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle Friday on Riverleigh Avenue in Riverside after he was found to be driving with a suspended license, according to officials. He was also charged with a violation, police said.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
