Police investigating residential burglary in Riverhead

Cash and a Samsung tablet were stolen from a house in downtown Riverhead Tuesday evening, according to Riverhead Town police. 

Police received a report of a burglary at 327 Union Avenue at about 9:45 p.m., and responding officers found they break-in had occurred earlier in the day.

An unknown amount of cash and the tablet computer were taken, police said. No other details were released.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
