Riverhead Chamber to host presentation by proposed EPCAL buyers

Calverton Aviation & Technology, the joint venture between Luminati Aerospace and Triple Five Real Estate I, LLC, has a scheduled a presentation targeted at businesspeople for next week to outline its planned use for Enterprise Park at Calverton.

The March 7 presentation, in conjunction with the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Residence Inn on County Road 58 in Riverhead between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., according to the Riverhead Chamber.

RSVP is required and attendance will be limited to members of the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, North Fork Promotion Council, Riverhead Rotary, the Riverhead BID and Eastern Long Island Executives, according to the Chamber’s announcement.

The RSVP is required by March 5.

In a follow-up email, the Chamber noted the event is “for informational purposes only.”

“It is our intent to provide our members, and fellow business organizations, with the pertinent information regarding Calverton Aviation Technology’s planned use of EPCAL, therby giving our business community the option of voicing their views with the Town of Riverhead,” the message continued.

Calverton Aviation & Technology is seeking to purchase approximately 1,600 acres of town-owned land at EPCAL for $40 million. A qualified and eligible hearing was held Tuesday night, and after 3 1/2 hours, it was adjourned to be continued March 13.

Luminati owns 25 percent of CAT and Triple Five owns 75 percent.
