New Marshalls and HomeGoods Combo Store set to open in Riverhead

Marshalls and HomeGoods is opening as one later this month in the Shops at Riverhead on Route 58.

The new Marshalls and HomeGoods Combo Store will offer one-stop shopping for top-quality designer fashion and home furnishings once it opens at 1762 Old Country Road on Thursday, March 22.

It will occupy a 42,000-square-foot space in the same shopping complex as PetSmart and Ulta Beauty, which opened last month, and across the parking lot from Costco, which has been open since 2012.

Marshalls, one of the nation’s largest off-price retailers, and the Riverhead locations will sell women’s fashion, shoes, and accessories, men’s apparel, juniors, kids’ apparel and accessories, luggage, beauty and more. It promises thousands of new arrivals each week.

HomeGoods is the country’s only major off-price store dedicated to home fashions.

Though a combo store, Marshalls and HomeGoods will have separate entrances with two distinct store environments, according to a press release from the TJX Companies, Inc. There will be a common pass-through and a single queue checkout.

About 120 full and part-time positions will be filled for the stores, the press release said.

TJX Companies, Inc. also owns HomeSense, which according to an earlier statement from Brixmor, the complex developers, will open next to the combo store in a 38,0000-square-foot space in October.

Both stores will hold a grand opening on March 22 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
