Pamela R. Reed

Former Riverhead resident Pamela R. Reed of Ronkonkoma died March 25 at Stony Brook University Hospital. She was 55. 

The daughter of Billy Hardin and Elmira Scott, she was born March 17, 1963, in Brooklyn.

Family members said she enjoyed helping others and being with family.

Ms. Reed is survived by her daughter, Telisha Houpe; her brother, Darryn Hardin; and her sister, Karlene Rivers, all of Riverhead and one grandchild.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead. Cremation was private.

Arrangements were in the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
