Referendums: Proposition No. 2, which will permit the district to use food services funds to purchase a walk-in freezer at Phillips Avenue Elementary and Proposition No. 3, which would establish a cafeteria capital reserve of up to $4 million to fund future improvements to the district’s cafeteria program. The funds placed in the savings account would not include any taxpayer dollars and would be funded solely by cafeteria revenue.
Three open seats, seven candidates: Joshua Berezny, Brian P. Connelly, Gregory-John Fischer, Ronald Fisher, Susan Koukounas, Amelia Lantz, Elizabeth C. Silva.
When/where to vote: Residents will vote Tuesday, May 15, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the elementary school a child living in their home would attend:
Riley Avenue School, 374 Riley Ave., Calverton
Aquebogue School, 499 Main Road, Aquebogue
Roanoke Avenue School, 549 Roanoke Ave., Riverhead
Phillips Avenue School, 141 Phillips Ave., Riverhead.
There is no voting at Riverhead High School.
