Irene T. Hughes

Irene T. Hughes died May 15 at the age of 92. 

The daughter of Catherine (Mahon) and Edward Kelly, she was born May 7, 1926, in New York City.

Ms. Hughes worked as a secretary for Metropolitan Life in New York City.

Predeceased by her husband, Benjamin and daughter, Irene Colavecchio, Ms. Hughes is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Jim) Breitenbach; grandchildren, John, Richard (Andrea), James Jr. and Karli-Rae and great-grandchildren, Gianna and Kevin.

The family received visitors May 20 at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held May 21 at St Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment took place at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
