Police make new arrest in Tuesday’s Fanning Street robbery

The Riverhead Police Department made another arrested in connection to a Fanning Street robbery that occurred Tuesday in Riverhead.

Robert E. Miller, 29, of Hampton Bays surrendered to authorities Thursday night at the Riverhead Police Department in relation to the incident, according to a press release. He was subsequently charged with first-degree robbery, police said.

Mr. Miller was held for arraignment.

Three other men were arrested in connection to the incident shortly after the Tuesday robbery during which a 24-year-old victim told officers that he was repeatedly struck by a number of individuals while one of the participants displayed a handgun and demanded that he give them all his money, police said.

The victim said the group of black males forcibly took his cash and a cell phone before fleeing the area, according to police.

Later that day, Terrance T. Latimore Jr. of Riverhead, 21, Taiquon T. Trent of Westhampton Beach, 19, and Terrance T. Trent of Westhampton Beach, 22, were charged with robbery in the Fanning Street robbery, police said.
