Police seek to question nine in connection to alleged groping at Splish Splash

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a group of people wanted in connection with a forcible touching investigation at a Calverton water park.

A group of males subjected young females to unwanted physical contact while in the wave pool at Splish Splash around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 21, according to Suffolk County Police.

Detectives would like to speak to eight males and one female captured on the above security footage and in photos below.

Newsday reported the mothers of girls who say they were groped are frustrated with the park’s response to the incident and the pace of the Riverhead police investigation. The mothers said the girls were campers from the Huntington YMCA, in the Newsday article.
