Riverhead Blotter: Four men arrested for drug possession

Four men were arrested for drug possession in Riverhead Monday.

Alexander Maldonado, Shaun Worthington Jr., Tymell Kimble and an unnamed 15-year-old were all charged with misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at police headquarters around 4 p.m., officials said. They were processed and released on $100 bail and the minor was released to a parent, officials said. 

• A South Jamesport man was arrested for stealing in Riverhead last Tuesday. 

Police responded to a call of a suspicious person at Target around 5:50 p.m. They found Joshua Georges, 36, had placed a TV and other items into a shopping cart inside the store and then left without the cart. He was apprehended by police and identified as the suspect from a larceny that occurred the day prior, officials said.

Mr. Georges was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and released on $200 bail, officials said. 

• Police arrested a 28-year-old woman for driving with a suspended license in Riverhead last Wednesday. 

Sibel Pumillo was stopped on Doctors Path around 6:40 p.m. for failing to stop at an intersection when police learned she had a suspended license, officials said. She was taken to headquarters, where police learned she was reportedly wanted for two petit larceny charges. 

She was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of petit larceny, both misdemeanors.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
