Jamesport 9/11 memorial service pays tribute to lives lost, veterans

The Greater Jamesport Civic Association and The East End Emerald Society hosted the first community 9/11 ceremony at the George Young Community Center in Jamesport Saturday.

The East End Emerald Society replaced the flag and flagpole at the park, also adding a 9/11 flag.

The event paid tribute to the lives lost on 9/11, late Riverhead police officer John Danowski, first responders and veterans.
