Here are the headlines across the North Fork for Monday, Jan. 14:
The Southold Town Planning Board is expected to vote tonight on a site plan for the controversial Tenedios Agricultural Barn in Orient.
The applicants have proposed an 8,600-square-foot building to seasonally house livestock and store feed and equipment on 34.5 acres of farmland owned by the owner of Fresh & Co., a Manhattan-based casual eating chain.
Neighbors of the property have raised concerns that it could turn into a commercial farming operation and the barn could be used for agritainment purposes.
Attorneys for the applicant have described it as a family farm and said only some row crops on the property would be used by the restaurant chain.
There will also be a public hearing tonight on a greenhouse proposed on the same property.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at Southold Town Hall.
