Gary A. Bodenstein

Gary A. Bodenstein of Peconic died Sunday, April 21, at the age of 64.

Gary was born Jan. 31, 1955, in Amityville, N.Y., to Eleanor June (Smith) and Albert John Bodenstein.

He was good with his hands and loved to “tinker” as a machinist. He also loved the outdoors and boats.

Gary was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Chris and Eric. He is survived by his nephew, Clifford Bodenstein of Cutchogue; his niece, Meghan Bodenstein of Brooklyn; great-niece Julie Bodenstein; and great-nephew Keegan Power.

Visitors will be received Friday, May 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where funeral services will take place at 8 p.m., officiated by Caren Heacock.
