Ronald Doroska

Ronald Doroska of Hampton Bays, N.Y., passed away Dec. 3, 2019, at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 80 years old.Mr. Doroska was born May 18, 1939, in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. He was the son of Sophie and John P. Doroszka.
Ronald graduated from Riverhead High School in 1958 and in 1960 he joined the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1963. In 1966 he started working for Northville Industries, where he was a truck driver for most of his career.
In 1967 he married the love of his life, Virginia Granatelli. They were married for 29 years, until she passed away in 1996.
Ronald was a dedicated Hampton Bays Fire Department volunteer fireman for 45 years.
Mr. Doroska is survived by his sons, Brian and Craig, and their wives, Ashley Doroska and Ariana Love; and five grandchildren, Morgan, Brodie, Myles, Elizabeth and Maverick Doroska.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel and Edward Doroska and is survived by his brother Joseph Doroszka and his wife, Donna; sister-in-law, Joanne Doroska; and extended family: Connie McCormack, Sharon Rachubka, Tony Dororska, Melissa and Jessica Rachubka, and Carrie and Thomas Grattan and their son, Thomas Jr.
Firematic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at Scott Rothwell Funeral Home. A prayer Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at St. Rosalie’s Church.
Interment will follow at Good Ground Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his loving wife.
