George W. Moretti

George W. Moretti of Manorville died Nov. 8 at Good Shephard Hospice in Port Jefferson of complications following a fall. He was 74.
He was born Feb. 15, 1945, to John and Mary (Gunther) Moretti in New York, N.Y. 
He grew up in the Boulevard Gardens in Queens before moving to Plainview where he graduated from Plainview High School. 
George and his father worked for many years for Schaefer Brewery. Mr. Moretti worked in the sales field for many years, eventually opening his own company. In his later years he worked and retired from King Kullen Grocery Company.
George is predeceased by his daughter, Christine Vega; his son, John; his parents John and Mary; his sister, Dolores Watson; and his niece Donna Moore. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Kathleen (Clarke); his grandchildren Peyton Vega and Bryce Kruel-Moretti; mother-in-law Rita (Hughes) Clarke; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Tricia Clarke, Diane Riley (Douglas Riley), Barbara and Oddvar Karlsen, Elizabeth and Christopher Drury and Eileen and Thomas Petrullo; son-in-law and daughter-in-law Andre and Amy Vega; nieces and nephews Butch and Marilyn DeSimone, John and Karonne Watson, Bill and Rosellen Bowen, Bryan and Rhonda Riley, Michael Riley, Nicole and Rob Liguori, Clarke DiBella, Thomas, Steven and Lauren Petrullo, Jacqueline Drury and Kevin Brady and Kevin Drury; and seven grand nieces and nephews. 
Visitation was held at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home and interment was at Pinelawn Memorial in Farmingdale. 
In lieu of flowers donations to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s and Kent Animal Shelter was requested by the family.
