Riverhead Central School District delays Tuesday opening for two hours

A notice to parents Monday evening from Dr. Augustine E. Tornatore said classrooms district-wide would be delayed by two hours due to expected snowfall.

While predictions have changed, the U.S. Weather Service said up to five inches is possible. by mid-morning Tuesday, with temperatures rising into the mid-30s by 9 am.

Officials also said Riverhead Town Hall will have a delayed opening. Offices will open at 10:30 a.m.
