Colin P. VanVliet

Colin P. VanVliet of Flanders died March 7, 2023, at his residence. He was 28.

Colin was born Nov. 16, 1994, to Nicholas and Frances (Gibbs) VanVliet.

Colin had the biggest heart. He loved hanging out with his family. He was an avid ATV rider and loved fishing, hiking, camping and boating. He adored all of his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Michelle VanVliet; brothers Nicholas VanVliet and William (Arielle) VanVliet; nephews Iago, Declan and Callan; and nieces Islabe and Yadira.

The family will receive visitors Monday, March 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at St. John’s Cemetery.
