Dorothy “Dottie” F. Pierzchanowski

Dorothy “Dottie” F. Pierzchanowski, 95, went home to be with Jesus on Aug. 23, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Fla.

Dorothy was born in Riverhead, where she lived and built a life for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felix, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. She is survived by her five children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a woman of deep faith who loved life and cherished time with family and friends—and playing bingo. Dottie always wore a smile, offered kind words, and was eager to help in any way she could. She was a ray of sunshine. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar Rosary Society. She also served as secretary at St. Isidore Catholic Church, where she was a dedicated member of the parish community.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church.
