Willie E. Hopkins

Willie E. Hopkins of Riverhead died at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care Sept. 4, 2026. He was 72.

Born in North Carolina May 9, 1954, he married Debra (nee Smith) on Oct. 22, 1985 in Riverhead. He worked as a paver fro Steve Stanley Asphalt. Family said he enjoyed football and basketball.

Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his wife Debra of Riverhead; and children Tiffany Robinson of Middle Island, Tasha Dean of Ridge and Willie Jr. of Riverhead; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Monday, Sept. 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Galilee Church of God in Christ with a funeral service at the church starting at 11 a.m. Burial in Riverhead Cemetery will follow.
