Rosella Marie Johnson

Rosella Marie Johnson of Riverhead, known as “Teeny,” died Feb. 26 at the home of her niece, Elaine Goode. She was 87.

She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Powhatan, Va., to Andrew and Charlotte Miles. In 1940, the family moved to Riverhead, where she married Henry Johnson on April 20, 1942.

Ms. Johnson worked as a supervisor at Treat Potato Factory in Riverhead. She was a member of the First Baptist churches of Cutchogue and Riverhead.

Family members said she was generous in providing them with nurturing, love and care.

Predeceased by 23 sisters and brothers, Ms. Johnson is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Viewing and a service took place March 2 at First Baptist Church of Riverhead. Interment was at Riverhead Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Seay Memorial Chapel in Riverhead.
