Richard C. Walsh

Richard C. Walsh of Riverhead died Oct. 10 at the Peconic Bay Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility. He was 78.

Born Jan. 15, 1934, in Greenport to Joseph and Julia (Sabat) Walsh, he attended Riverhead High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.

He was a title officer with Fidelity Title in Riverhead and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife, Ann Louise (née Coupé); his children, Cheryl Walsh-Edwards of East Moriches and Michael, of Calverton; his brother, Joseph, of Riverhead; and two grandchildren.

Visiting hours took place Oct. 14 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service was held Oct. 15 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Larry Duncklee officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
