The Riverhead News-Review honored its 2013 People of the Year Thursday night during a ceremony at the company’s main office in Mattituck. 

The Person of the Year for 2013, Michael Hubbard, received his award in the afternoon at Peconic Bay Medical Center, where he is currently being cared for. Michael received the award along with his mother, Nancy Reyer.

The list of winners included:

Public Servant of the Year: Dennis Cavanagh

Civic Person of the Year: Vince Taldone

Educator of the Year: Keri Stromski

Business Person of the Year: April Yakaboski

Person of the Year: Michael Hubbard
