The driver of a Kia SUV flipped over Friday afternoon, shutting one lane on Route 105 for a short while after she attempted to hit the brakes and catch a turn onto Hubbard Avenue after she realized she had driven too far.
According to police at the scene, the driver was heading northbound shortly after 2 p.m. when she realized she had missed the turn. Though she still attempted to make the exit, a Mack truck was driving in the lane she was trying to get into, which hit her as she tried to turn in.
Nobody was hurt in the crash, although heavy rescue was called to the scene. Riverhead Police and Riverhead Fire Departments both responded.
One lane was closed on Route 105 following the crash, though traffic was permitted through.
