It was a picture perfect summer evening Friday as several hundred people filled downtown Riverhead to see JumpstART artists unveil their work on the grounds of the East End Arts complex and various venues along East Main Street and Grangebel Park. (more…)

The Zumbatomics exercise class for children ages 4 to 7 began Wednesday night at the George G. Young Community Center in Jamesport.
A Latin-inspired dance/fitness class, Zumba incorporates international music and dance movements for kids to shake and wiggle to. The kids even pretend to move around like birds, butterflies, giraffes and other animal favorites.
Certified Zumba fitness instructor Irina Gentile of Baiting Hollow led Wednesday’s class, where one of the dances the kids learned was an an African inspired dance called “Zuma Zuma.”
There are six classes total, ending March 7 (there’s no class Feb. 22). It costs $35 and is sponsored by the Town Recreation Department.
