LIPA: Final Riverhead Town outage expected to be restored today
Just one outage remains from Tropical Storm Irene in Riverhead Town , according to the Long Island Power Authority.
The outage is at a Wading River home where LIPA estimates power will be restored by 1 p.m., ending a week-long ordeal here that has frustrated many LIPA customers and elected officials serving our area.
There are only 1,000 customers still without power across Long Island, with more than 20 percent of those customers living in Southampton Town.
