Slideshow: Wood carvers featured at Suffolk County Historical Society exhibition

“Wooden Wonderland” was a wood carvers holiday show and sale offered on Saturday, December 3 at the Suffolk County Historical Society.

The holiday event featured handmade carvings on display and for sale by more than a dozen  Long Island craftsmen.

There were one-of-a-kind items birds, fish, duck decoys, Santas, gnomes and ornaments. Craftsmen showed also demonstrated a variety of wood carving skills and techniques the event.
