Cops: Flanders man caught with 55 bags of marijuana

A 49-year-old Flanders man was arrested Saturday on drug charges after he was found in possession of 55 bags of marijuana during a traffic stop, according to a Southampton Town police press release. 

Dennis Carter was pulled over in Flanders for a traffic violation shortly before 11 p.m. and was in possession of the drugs police described as “packaged for sale,” officials said.

Mr. Carter was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and released on $100 bail, police said.
