Riverhead man arrested for child pornography possession: Police

Suffolk County Police arrested Josue Duran, 33, of Riverhead on Sept. 4 for allegedly possessing child pornography after executing a search warrant at his Duryea Street home, according to a news release.

Following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program, SCPD Digital Forensic Unit detectives carried out a search of Mr. Duran’s home at 13 Duryea Street in Riverhead, where they seized multiple cell phones.

Mr. Duran faces two felony charges of possessing and promoting a sexual performance by a child. After his arrest, he appeared for an arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip, where he pled not guilty to both charges.

Bail was set to $10,000 in cash, $20,000 in an insured bond and $100,000 in a partially secured surety bond.
