For the first time this summer, perhaps, the Shoreham-Wading River girls soccer team’s defense, its bedrock, was shaken.
The Wildcats had looked in control of the Town of Brookhaven Summer League championship game Thursday evening pretty much the whole time, and then there was cause for concern. A late flukish Brentwood goal made things interesting. (more…)
An unlicensed and underage drunk driver was arrested Sunday morning for driving in the wrong direction around the Flanders Road Traffic Circle, Southampton Town Police said.
Jose Ramirez Carbajal, 20, of Brentwood was spotted entering the circle in the wrong direction shortly after 1 a.m., police said. He was pulled over and found to be intoxicated.
Mr. Ramirez Carbajal was taken to Southampton Town Police Headquarters and held for a morning arraignment on charges of DWI and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.
