Riverhead Town will receive $3 million in state funding to help with water infrastructure projects, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday.
According to Mark Conklin, Riverhead Water District Superintendent, the funds will help the department address manganese concerns at Plant No. 5, located on Middle Road just east of Northville Turnpike. READ
The North Fork Link, the recently launched free shuttle service, will not run for at least a few weeks, operators said.
Service has been temporarily suspended “while we address some issues that impact overall rider experience,” according to a message posted on the North Fork Now website. Both the shuttle service and the website are products of the North Fork Promotion Council. READ
Several service agencies that work with people who are homeless, poor, mentally ill or suffer from addiction issues have asked the Riverhead Town Board for federal Community Development Block Grant money. READ
