The Jamesport-South Jamesport Civic Association will host two debates involving candidates running for elected office in the Town of Riverhead.

The first will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Jamesport Meeting House. Questions will be directed at all candidates for Town Board. This year, that includes incumbent Jim Wooten and Tim Hubbard, running on the Republican line, along with Democrats Neil Krupnick and Laura Jens-Smith.

Additionally, candidates for assessor, tax receiver and town clerk will have the opportunity to briefly address the audience.

The second debate, set for Wednesday, Sept. 30, will feature candidates for supervisor and town justice. The supervisor debate will include incumbent Sean Walter, running on the Conservative Party line; Jodi Giglio, the Republican nominee; and Anthony Coates, running as a Democrat.

That debate will also take place at the Jamesport Meeting House at 7 p.m.
