Visitation for Kristina Tfelt, the 26-year-old mother who was killed in a hit and run crash on Route 58 Tuesday, will be held tonight, funeral home officials said.

A wake will be held at the Giove Funeral Home on Middle Country Road in Selden from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., a funeral home worker said. Burial services will be held Saturday morning, starting with a procession from the funeral home to Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.

Police found Ms. Tfelt lying unconscious in the eastbound lanes of Route 58 near Woodcrest Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. She was rushed to Peconic Bay Medical Center, but was pronounced dead, police said.

Riverhead Town police said Ms. Tfelt was hit by a 2000 Cadillac Deville sedan that jumped the curb and crashed into a retaining wall after striking the woman.

Two men inside the Cadillac, the driver and a passenger, ditched the car and both ran from the scene headed south on Woodcrest Avenue, according to a police statement. The men remain at large.

Anyone with information about the hit and run are asked to call Riverhead police anonymously at (631) 727-4500, ext. 326.
