Miguel Maysonet is coming home.

In a whirlwind start to his NFL career that has now seen him bounce around five different teams this year, Maysonet’s latest signing is to the New York Jets’ practice squad, the team formally announced this afternoon.

Maysonet joins the 3-3 Jets after a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers’ practice squad from Oct. 1-9. Maysonet’s signing came after the Jets lost running back Mike Goodson to a season-ending injury. Goodson, who missed the first four games of the season after a suspension, tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in one of his knees in his second game back with the team.

Maysonet will join a Jets team that has running backs Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell and Alex Greene on the active roster. John Griffin, a second-year player from UMass, is also on the practice squad.

As Maysonet tries to make his way onto an active roster, his journey has already taken him from Philadelphia to Cleveland to Indianapolis and San Diego. He spent nearly the entire preseason in Cleveland, playing in all four preseason games, before being cut on the eve of the deadline for the teams to trim their rosters to 53 players.

The Jets also announced the signing of wide receiver Josh Cribbs and wide receiver Greg Salas to the active roster.
