Share via email Mail Created with Sketch. The Tyre Lodge in Riverside held its first Easter Egg hunt Saturday, and lodge Conductress Theodora Midgette said they hope to make it an annual event. Easter egg hunts and special masses were held in the Riverhead area Saturday as part of the holiday weekend. Here are a handful of photos taken at these special events. The farmers market in downtown Riverhead held an Easter egg hunt Saturday. Susan Pollie of Long Island Livestock in Yaphank brought Fraggle, a real bunny, to the Riverhead Farmers Market. Fraggie is used in education classes at Long Island Livestock and his fur is used to make yard. The eggs being sold at Saturday’s Riverhead Farmers Market by Holly Browder of Browders Birds were not part of the Easter Egg hunt. Father Piotr Narkiewicz of St. Isidore Church in Riverhead participates in the annual blessing of the food baskets Saturday morning, an Easter tradition in the Polish church.
