Police investigate home invasion on Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow

Investigators are searching for a suspect in a home invasion on Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow early Saturday morning, according to a Riverhead Town police press release. 

A woman said she woke up to find a man standing inside her home watching her shortly after 1:30 a.m. She began screaming and the man ran from the house, police said.

The man had allegedly entered through a window.

Police said several patrol cars, including a K9 unit, searched the area, but could not find the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500, ext. 633.
