Blotter: Larcenies and DWIs top cops’ arrest list

Riverhead Town police made the following arrests from July 26 to Aug. 1:

  • Latesha Moore of Riverhead, 38, was arrested for alleged assault.
  • Jacob Riehl of Riverhead, 35, was arrested for alleged grand larceny.
  • Lauralynn Moore of Brookhaven, 58, was arrested for alleged grand larceny and four counts of alleged falsifying business records.
  • Jose Gomez Davila of Mattituck, 42, was arrested for alleged aggravated driving while intoxicated.
  • Janice Van Dyne of Riverhead, 64, was arrested for alleged DWI and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Charles Scruggs of Riverhead, 37, was arrested on two counts of alleged petit larceny and on a bench warrant.
  • Tanya Brown of Southampton, 42; Allen Gardner of Lindenhurst, 40; and Alan Gardner of Islip, 40, were arrested for alleged petit larceny.
  • Nicholas Berg, 41, listed as from Hempstead and Riverhead, was arrested for alleged petit larceny and jaywalking.
  • Byron Samuel of Riverhead, 37, was arrested for alleged harassment.
  • Nelson Ayavaca Peralta of Riverhead, 31, was arrested for alleged aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
  • Sean Rodriguez of Queens, 23, was arrested on an arrest warrant. Rosemary Zito of Mastic Beach, 41, and Marcial Jacobo-Bajxac of Riverhead, 33, were arrested on bench warrants.
  • Henry Lopez Ortiz of Riverhead, 22, was arrested on a warrant and a bench warrant.


Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
